Shaun Browne joined Ethos Partners as Non-Executive Chairman in October 2024. Shaun is the co-Head of European Corporate Finance at Houlihan Lokey and Chairman of the firm’s Consumer Group in Europe. Shaun was a co-founder investment bank McQueen, one of Europe’s leading consumer M&A advisors before being acquired by Houlihan Lokey. Shaun has over 35 years of investment banking experience, having completed over 200 transactions with an exceptional track record in corporate finance, particularly in M&A and capital raising for the consumer sector and across other industry groups.
Jules comes from an entrepreneurial family background and he founded Ethos to develop an engaged investor community of friends and contacts to support entrepreneurs to grow interesting smaller businesses. Julian’s private equity career began in 1990, including time at Natwest Ventures, Hg Capital, Lloyds Development Capital and Connection Capital. Having completed over 35 buy out and growth capital investments across a range of sectors, Julian has extensive experience in private equity investment. He’s served on 25 boards and delivered substantial investor returns, exemplified by investments in Virgin Wines and Teamsport Go Karts.

Sandy joined Ethos in 2017, following nine years in private equity investing, entrepreneurship and strategy consulting. He was co-founder and Finance Director of The Dental Partnership, a private equity-backed dental business, and began his private equity career in 2011 with Canter Equity Partners. He spent two years as a strategy consultant with A.T. Kearney and held the role of Strategy and M&A Director for the Redeem Group before joining Ethos.

Pascal joined Ethos in 2020 following nine years in SME-focused private equity investment. His private equity career began at Canter Equity Partners, working alongside Sandy, targeting growth buyouts and buy-and-build strategies. Formerly a partner at Connection Capital, Pascal was involved with investments into Carter Accommodation and 23.5 Degrees, where he remains an advisor to the board.

Scott joined Ethos in 2018 after three years working in M&A. He honed his expertise in the audit department at EY, working with private equity and wealth management clients, before joining the M&A team. Here, he worked with owner-managed businesses, non-core carveouts from large corporations, and private equity-backed businesses.

Jo joined Ethos in 2019 following four years in investment banking and private equity. He began his career at Perella Weinberg Partners’ M&A practice in London, where he spent three years advising corporate and private equity clients on a range of corporate finance transactions. He progressed to One Peak Partners as an Investment Associate responsible for sourcing and executing growth equity investments in rapidly scaling technology businesses across Europe. He has also consulted for venture-stage businesses in the consumer and fintech industries.

Grant has been a private equity investor since 2005, across a wide range of sectors and stages ranging from start-up, through venture to mid-market buyouts. He has led investment teams at Octopus Investments, Gresham House Ventures, and BGF (London and South-East). Previously, he was corporate development director in a private equity-owned business, having started his career at PwC where he qualified as an accountant (ACA) and worked in the corporate finance team. Grant is a Partner and serves on the Investment Committee. He has significant portfolio management experience as a non-executive director and has completed over 25 investments, ranging from the buyout of TGI Fridays; to a debt and minority equity investment in Care Monitoring 2000 (domiciliary care SaaS) and a growth capital venture investment in Patchworks (eCommerce SaaS).
Ben joined Ethos in September 2024, bringing over 15 years of investment experience. Prior to Ethos, he was a Partner at Coniston Capital, focusing on small-cap MBOs and buy-and-build platforms, and previously led the PE investment team at True Capital. Earlier in his career, he worked at BGF, Goldman Sachs, and Kester Capital. With expertise in equity and structured debt in both private and listed companies, Ben has a particular focus on supporting SMEs and founders. He is a Fellow of the ICAEW, a graduate of Durham University, and significant experience as a portfolio non-exec director.

Natalie joined Ethos in 2019, following eighteen years in financial services. She began her investment banking career in London in 1997, at both Merrill Lynch and UBS in the equities division. This was followed by six years in Prime Services at Goldman Sachs International, managing and growing securities lending relationships. She has also worked for Environmental Technologies Fund and in the investor relations team at Tetragon Financial Group Limited and TFG Asset Management.
Toby joined Ethos in January 2024. He holds a BA in German and Business from Newcastle University.
Lewis joined Ethos in August 2024. Lewis holds a BSc in Industrial Economics from Nottingham University
Adrian joined Ethos in 2024. His career has been in financial services, initially at Fidelity, JP Morgan Asset Management and Barclays Capital. Adrian has also been CFO / FD at Sarasin & Partners, Killik & Co, Edmond de Rothschild UK and most recently Local Pensions Partnership Investments (LPPI). Adrian qualified as a Chartered Accountant at KPMG London.
